Stuart


PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Stuart has a passion for Physiotherapy and encouraging people to lead healthier lifestyles. He graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Stuart prides himself on communicating with patients so that they understand their condition and loves to see them self-managing and enjoying life on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

 Stuart has extensive experience working with both long and short-term injuries and has a particular interest in treating back pain, shoulder pain and hip pain. Stuart is excellent at managing tendon injuries (tendinopathy) and bursitis of the hip.

Stuart worked at the South Coast District Hospital in Victor Harbor, giving him extensive experience in the rehabilitation of hip, knee and shoulder surgeries. Most of Stuart’s career has been in a busy private practice environment, where he feels confident delivering individualised treatment plans to ensure every patient has a swift recovery.

Stuart also has a special interest in working with children and Parkinson's Disease and runs a specialized exercise group called 'PD Warrior' for people with Parkinson's Disease.

By far and away Stuart’s favourite part about being a Physiotherapist is helping people get back to sport, work and the activities they love to do.

Stuart loves living in Middleton. Out of work you’ll find Stuart having a hit of tennis in Port Elliot, going for a jog around Horseshoe Bay and having a coffee at Middleton Point whilst checking the results of his favourite footy team - the Adelaide University Football Club in the Sunday Mail.

Chloe


PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Chloe has had a broad experience base since graduating from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Chloe has an extensive skills set in aged care physiotherapy and is passionate about helping older adults stay fit, strong and enjoying life. Pain management of osteoarthritis and balance rehabilitation are a big part of Chloe’s daily role at Goolwa Physio.

In the clinic Chloe enjoys treating neck pain, headaches and back pain successfully, using a combination of hands-on physiotherapy techniques, dry needling and prescription of exercise.

Thanks to Chloe’s experience at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, her special interest is treating pre and post-natal women. This has led to her becoming certified in Clinical Pilates. Chloe loves seeing her clients move better through using Pilates inspired exercises. Chloe loves running group exercise therapy at Goolwa Physio in Goolwa Health Co’s very own rehabilitation studio. Chloe has also done further training in exercise prescription for cancer rehabilitation.

In her free time Chloe enjoys cooking, baking and painting. Chloe also loves looking after her little boy Jude and walking her dog 'Daisy' along Goolwa and Middleton beaches.

 

Harry


PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Harry joined the Goolwa Physio team after graduating from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Harry has a particular interest in rehabilitating sports injuries, managing back pain and running hydrotherapy classes. Harry has done further training in exercise prescription for Multiple Sclerosis and runs a specific hydrotherapy class for Multiple Sclerosis at the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre. Harry also has experience in strength and balance training for the elderly and enjoys overseeing group exercise therapy sessions at the clinic.

Harry spends his spare time playing Aussie Rules Football for Macclesfield, going to the gym, teaching himself the piano and catching up with friends. Harry lives in Macclesfield but has enjoyed many summer holidays on the South Coast.

Tamara


PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Following completion of her degree in the UK in 2012 Tam has enjoyed working across a variety of areas, including in-patient spinal cord injury, amputee and stroke rehabilitation, as well as private practice treating NDIS clients with neurological conditions. Tam has also spent 5 years working in older persons mental health, while chairing the South Australian Chapter of the Mental Health special interest group for the Australian Physiotherapy Association. More recently Tam has spent time working in aged care and is passionate about delivering excellent standards of service to our local senior citizens.

Tam has been working with NDIS recipients for over 5 years and enjoys exploring innovative ways to address people’s physical and social participation goals. Tam’s knowledge of the NDIS system has helped clients to understand and manage their plans to achieve their goals and get the most out of life, including holiday planning, returning to work or hobbies and being as independent as possible at home.

Outside of work, Tam enjoys growing food, taking care of her bees and spending as much time enjoying the great outdoors as possible.

Ben


PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Ben is a local Physiotherapist who is passionate about helping people move well, stay active, and get back to doing the things they enjoy most. Since graduating from the University of South Australia in 2023, Ben has worked across the Fleurieu Peninsula, supporting the local community with a wide range of musculoskeletal, sporting and post-operative conditions.

During his university studies, Ben worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant at Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital, where he gained valuable experience assisting people recovering from orthopaedic surgery, as well as those undergoing neurological rehabilitation following conditions such as stroke and multiple sclerosis. This experience helped develop his interest in rehabilitation and guiding people through all stages of recovery.

Ben has a particular interest in sports injuries, post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, return-to-sport management, and strength and conditioning. He enjoys working with everyone from recreational athletes and active individuals through to those looking to improve their strength, balance and confidence in everyday life.

Growing up and living on the Fleurieu Peninsula, Ben understands the active lifestyle enjoyed by many locals. Outside the clinic, he can often be found surfing, golfing, trail running, hiking, or taking part in CrossFit-style training. His personal involvement in sport and exercise gives him a practical understanding of the challenges people face when injury interrupts the activities they love.

Ben is committed to providing evidence-based care and working closely with his patients to develop personalised treatment plans that help them achieve their goals and maintain their long-term health and wellbeing.

Jenna


Physiotherapist

Jenna recently joined the Goolwa Physio team after graduating from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Settling into her new home in Hayborough along the South Coast, Jenna is thrilled to embark on this new chapter as part of the Goolwa Physio Team!

During her academic studies, Jenna gained valuable experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant in the Rehabilitation, Aged, and Palliative Care sector of Flinders Medical Centre. Here, she found fulfilment in aiding patients through post-operative orthopaedic and neuro rehabilitation. Jenna’s clinical passions extend to rehabilitating sporting injuries, with a specific interest in dance and performance injury management, alongside prescribing tailored exercises for an active approach to treating chronic conditions.

Outside the clinic, Jenna takes part in aerial acrobatics, yoga, and leisurely swims along the picturesque beaches of the South Coast, in particular watching the beautiful sunsets! A fervent dog lover, Jenna is currently engaged in training her family’s 10th guide dog, Blyth. Now that she has moved down south, she is excited to explore all the Fleurieu Peninsula has to offer.

Jean-Louise


PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Jeanie joined the Goolwa Physio team after graduating from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. She is excited to be part of the Goolwa Physio Team!

Jeanie likes to use a mixture of hands-on therapy with clinical exercise treatment to help her clients reduce pain and actively rehabilitate their injuries. Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation and sports injuries, particularly running injuries. Jeanie has experience in post-operative and general rehabilitation.

Jeanie enjoys exploring the local cafes for brunch and coffee each weekend since moving down to the south of Adelaide after living in the western suburbs her entire life. Jeanie has developed an interest in running and is currently training for her first half marathon in Victor Harbour. When she's not running along the esplanades, she's running out for the Lockleys Football Club women's team or walking her dog "Ollie" along the beach.

Vivek


Exercise Physiologist

After graduating as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist from the University of South Australia in 2016, Vivek has worked as an Exercise Physiologist in multiple medical centres, gyms, hydrotherapy pools and in home-care across South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Vivek recently returned back to the Fleurieu Peninsula is excited to join the Goolwa Exercise Physiology Team in 2023. Vivek has extensive experience in the Exercise Physiology industry, working with a wide range of clientele for chronic disease and injury management. Vivek values client-centred care, and works closely with the individual and their treatment team, to achieve their health goals.

Vivek has a strong passion for the role of exercise in promoting long-term physical and mental health, and social wellbeing. Vivek believes identifying meaning behind physical activity and exercise is the key motivator in achieving long-term behavior change towards a healthy lifestyle. In his spare time, Vivek enjoys all things outdoors, spending time with his family and two dogs, and watching the Power reach the top top top!

Dannii


SECRETARY

Dannii is a valued member of the Goolwa Physio team, playing a key role in keeping our front desk and administration running smoothly. You’ll find her welcoming clients at reception, coordinating appointments, and supporting the team behind the scenes.

Known for her calm and approachable nature, Dannii helps create a relaxed and supportive environment for both patients and staff. Her warm personality ensures everyone feels comfortable from the moment they arrive.

Within the team, Dannii is also our go-to when caffeine levels are running low—always ready for a quick trip to local coffee hotspots to keep everyone fuelled for the day ahead.

Outside of work, Dannii enjoys spending time with her family, who keep her busy and active.

Jenna

Meet Jenna! As a vital part of our front desk team, Jenna is often the first friendly face you’ll see when you walk through our doors. Whether she’s answering calls, managing reception, or diligently working through administrative tasks, Jenna’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our clients is unwavering.

Currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science, Jenna has her sights set on a future in Physiotherapy. Her academic pursuits not only keep her busy during the week but also enrich her role at our clinic with a unique perspective and understanding of health and wellness.

When she’s not at the clinic or immersed in her studies, Jenna can be found exploring the scenic beauty of Victor Harbor. From leisurely walks around Granite Island and Port Elliot to discovering the best coffee spots on the Fleurieu, Jenna’s love for her community shines through.

Alysha


SECRETARY

Alysha brings a bright, positive, and welcoming energy to our front desk team. As a lifelong Fleurieu local, she values building genuine connections and creating a supportive environment for every person who walks through the clinic doors.

Recently settling into her new home on Hindmarsh Island with her husband and young daughter, Alysha enjoys spending quality time with her family outside of work. She is also a passionate sports fan, particularly following the Adelaide Crows and cricket, and can often be found watching the action live at Adelaide Oval or relaxing at home with the game on.

Alysha’s friendly, bubbly nature and commitment to helping others ensures every patient experience starts on a positive note.
